We are pleased to announce the release of this Request for Proposals (RFP). This RFP will serve as a means to identify up to four proof-of-principle Demonstration Projects to improve precision medicine cancer care for low-income patients through collaboration in California. The RFP incorporates criteria to inform selection of the demonstration projects codified by AB 1602, Chapter 24, Statutes of 2016, which establishes Article 6. California Initiative to Advance Precision Medicine under Chapter 1.5 of Division 1 of Title 7 of the Government Code.

CIAPM is using a 3-stage peer-review process to identify the most competitive proposals for funding. Please see details of how to apply in the RFP.
Stage 1: Letter of intent to submit a proposal
Applicants should submit a brief letter of intent. Letters should note the expected host institution(s) and co-PIs, provide tentative title and/or brief description (no more than 5 sentences) of the proposal, and give a tentative total budget.
Stage 2: Concept proposals
Applicants should submit short concept proposals. Please see the RFP for details.
Stage 3: Full proposals
The Selection Committee will select a subset of submitted concept proposals to move onto the full proposal stage. Please consult the [Full Proposal Submission Process] document for guidance on how finalists advancing to the next stage should proceed.

We are asking the public to submit nominations for the Selection Committee that will review the applications. Please see the CIAPM website for instructions. Responses will be accepted through July 18, 2018.
